		<description>An additional adoption formula that started the whole network effect discussion was created by Metcalfe&#039;s to determine how to sell more Ethernet cards. The issue being there was no reason to buy an Ethernet card until other people bought one since it is only valuable if you can connect to others via ethernet. 

The value of a network is proportional to the square of the number of users. Here is the wikipedia link:
